Aunties Rules

10 Things Chin had learnt after 3 days working with aunties...

1) They are as motherly as my mum. Fretting after me... drink more water, dun skip around, be careful, eat more veggies.

2) They can be kiddy... singalong songs in the middle of our veggie packing.

3) They are as humourous as any 24 year old i know

4) They do not speak greek. I understand their languages very well.

5) They give wonderful hugs.

6) They are not as 3 8 as i expected. They appreciate harmony and work as a close family.

7) They hear and sing along to Jay Zhou.

8) They provide good listening ears.

9) They dance around to Jay Zhou,

10) They are as vain... no rice / potatoes and milk chocolate coz its fattening.

Dim Sum!!!!

Anway, i met jean and nick at 9am this morning for a so called family day movie at tampines mall! Only, to wonder why is the place so dead quiet. Haha.. the movie..was next week! (right jean, i'm not laughing at u.... really am not... **stiffle another round of laughters)

So, the trio decided to head to geylang for dim sum.

When.. was the last time u had a real dim sum breakfast. (meaning having it before 10am)

Coming to realize... i'd never. Sure, when i was in pri school..i tagged along with eva and family for Dim Sum at the "red building". Its only recently den i know it was called Yong Chun Yuan. Hahaha...

It was rather good. But..i really do sympathise with the poor nic. He woke up @ 6.30. Waited for the snoozed-for-an-hour jean lim for prob 15-20 mins. And had to chauffer both of us around.

After the wonderful dim sum, we had to bugis to watch the date movie. I...only have one word for it.. a long one.... its suckyterriblelameidioticnosenseofhumourawasteofmymoney show. Hahaha...pls dun watch it...

Do u guys understand wat i'm jabbering here ? coz i seriously am just trying to waste my time here blogging. Wahahahahaha

Danny told me this morning, that there was a School of Ninja-tsu in singapore. Haha...

Yaya..tat very one tat throws darts, drop smoke bombs, manage to disapparate (oh..tat's Hogwart's Wizard school, haha) Exactly like wat i imagine in Naruto (this Anime series i'm crazy about)

Imagine if chin can do wat they can do. When the boss call me into his office, i could create another chin and send her on my behalf. Maybe, even more chins so they can do my work, while i go over to pacific coffee for my Hot Chocolate and Cheesecake. Better yet, i would create another eva or jean so they can accompany me for hot chocolate. Wahahaha...

I wont have to take mrt and buses . I could just jump onto buses, buildings and anything i desire.

I could change the way i look, my height.. (i always wanna to be petite) hee.. and feel very girly in a doll dress with HIGH heels... *looks very excited! There are so many shoes i'd always wanted to wear ? but.. they make me look very awful. Like a giant trying to look like a fairy. Haha...

I could also... throw darts at people i dislike. People like the seow family. I would hide on top of Blk 9010 (the block opp 9002) and throw at them. Maybe i leave jason alone... since he wasnt all tat bad. I would shoot one at daniel's head.. since he dun have much of a intelligent brain anyway. I'll shoot one at doris mouth... very cursing innocent people. Shoot one more at daniel's ass... for being an asshole! **WOOT..

Hmmm... i wonder wat i can do to them as a witch! wahahaha

My past entry is so Boring... (Darn it)

First Day

First day of work. It didnt start out perfectly.... i got onto the correct bus on time.. but i forgot to bring my file along. So..i had to take a cab back home and to work.

I dunno is it me.. but i just kept thinking that my manager might see me and go "oh.. u are not the girl i choosed" haha.. luckily... nothing of such sort happened. *worry wart me

Anyway, unlike the other crowded offices.. my office is a stand alone. It occupies 6 people. I'm the 6th. There's the customer service manager, Dennis. He's a funny chap. Makes me laugh with his funny antics and the kind of customers we might encounter. There's Alima.. the manager for Operation Audits, Michelle the training manager, Joan food safety.. and last of all.. Jessica, my manager. Hee.. she's the nicest. To think i thot she was a stern woman. First impressions, are sometimes.. quite wrong. Haha...

We had dim sum for lunch.. it was nice. And it was a 2 hour lunch. Haha... went back to office at 3 and i sat there 3 straight hours reading papers. *yawn...

Anyway, i am attached to Great World City Cold storage to learn all their operations in 3 weeks. Ranging from bakery, veggies, fruits, meat, fishes, wines, BBQ and ya..cashier!! but i think its really a good experience to see how supermarket operates. And it's very helpful for my work. Since i'm suppose to guide them to improve in their business structure.

Well.... wish me luck. Hope i wont break any eggs.... splatter any milk.... poison anyone with my cakes..... *fingers crossed

Company Perks

Right.. chin has got a new jobbie. Will be starting this wed as a Operation Admin Exec in Dairy Farm Pte Ltd. (er.. its not the one in chua chu kang which sells..milk) The Dairy Farm i'm refering to is the company which owns...Cold Storage , G Value , Jason Market Place, Shop N Save, Guardian Pharmacy , 7-11 and Giant. Anyway, i would be under the supermarket in the business improvement department. Basically, i am to ensure that that all the 77 outlets are to operate within our budget. And to find ways , to less the operating cost with the best possible result.

Yeah! finally got out of the small , family company business. Just in case.. any of the seow family ventures in here.. pls get it clear that it is not due to U guys i manage to work my way there. Its becoz of my hardwork , no complaints when u get me to do all the dirty work in the company. Yup, even ur houses. Please do not call me anymore. I have officially left the company and is definetly not obliged to go back to work on saturdays and sundays. Not even if u give me $100 per day. I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE ANYMORE THINGS TO DO WITH YOU GUYS.

ANyway, was reading my appointment letter and realized how diff it is to work in a small family business and a MNC.
For example.. the perks.

Annual Leave
CS:7 Days upon 2nd Year(Chin is only up to 10 days when she left the co after 5 year
DF: 18 days upon start of work.

Medical Leave:
CS: 7 days (pathetic)
DF: 28 Days (haha.. see the big difference ?)

Others:
CS: None at all
DF: $250 dental , Medical fees all included , Aranda Country Club chalets, Insurances, AWS, performance bonus, pay increment every april (on performance), staff card entitled with 10% for all our company's outlets... blah blah blah

Sheesh.. why did i take such a long time to leave that bloody co ? I even felt bad that i was leaving them like this ?

A Rather Bored Chinnie

Right... i think i have this friends thing coz i have peepz constantly touching me with little gestures of theirs.

This day, i have nic and jean taking half day off to accompany me to watch movie. Big Momma 2. (hey hey..i didnt request for it..i just merely ask whether would they wanna meet me. But i didnt expect both of them to take half day!!)

Anyway, our outing was like....

PS Food Court -> to have ayam panggang simple coz jean remarked it was min's fave! + chat


















Gelare -> Jean was having some serious waffle with ice cream craving + chat

Carrefour -> to plan food budget for our upcoming Bintan trip
(it might turn out to be Batam / Cameron Highland / Genting / Hong Kong / Taiwan / Thailand / Star Cruise along the way.... if we do really manage to go)

Movie -> Big Momma 2 (It was hilarious..watch it! Btw.. it has no absolute linkage to the first one)

Raffles Link -> Jean has craving for Mrs Fields.. (this woman ah..tsk tsk. Seriously got lotsa cravings! Poor zw) + chat

Jason's Market Place -> er... to get two bottles of mineral water!
